I reviewed all the ways to get to Crimea in 2021. Find out how it will be cheaper and more convenient. I'm talking about planes, tours, trains and car trips from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities. Choosing the best way!

Goodbye ferry crossing! Goodbye car queues! Goodbye obscure and tedious train and bus connections! Finally, they completed the bridge and launched the trains - from now on, Crimea is completely connected to the "mainland", and all that hell is forever in the past. Now we can choose any convenient way to get to the peninsula and not be afraid to go crazy on the way to the resort.

By plane

Plane is the most convenient and often the cheapest way to get to Crimea. During the season, direct flights fly from many cities of Russia to Simferopol. The prices are usually the same as for the train. There are especially many cheap plane tickets for flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg. From the capitals you can fly to Crimea and back for 6000-8000 rubles.

Inexpensive (up to 10,000 rubles) you can fly to Crimea from these cities: Krasnodar, Sochi, MinVody, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Kazan, Ufa, Tyumen, Nizhny Novgorod. For 12-15 thousand rubles, you can find tickets from Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Syktyvkar, Murmansk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Surgut.

Look for the cheapest flights to Crimea on the search engines Skyscaner and Aviasales. They compare the prices of all airlines in a minute and find the dates with the lowest prices. Convenient thing. See also my tips: how to buy air tickets cheaper.

The cheapest way to fly to Crimea is before the high season or early autumn, but in July and August, tickets can even cost twice as much. September is the best time to relax in Crimea: the water is still very warm, there are three times less people, and prices are much lower. Take note.

Another tip: buy your summer tickets in advance. Best just 3-6 months before rest. So few people do, but in vain - you can save a lot.

If tickets to Simferopol are too expensive for your dates, check the cost of flights to Anapa or Krasnodar. Yes, so you have to get to the resort in Crimea by bus, but sometimes you can save a lot.

On tour

A lot of cheap tours from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other large cities are sold to Crimea. Even for the summer there are tours for two for a week for only 20-25 thousand rubles. The price includes flight, accommodation and transfer. Meals on such cheap tours are not included, and the accommodation is usually very modest, I would even say, Spartan. But if you raise the cost bar a little, then you will get already decent options with accommodation in decent hotels in popular resorts, and not in a shed somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Such tours cost from 30 thousand for two. Agree, the price tag is adequate. So a package trip is one of the ways to cheaply travel to Crimea even in summer. Read my review of the cost of vouchers to Crimea - there I told in detail what the prices depend on.

Look for inexpensive tours to Crimea on Travelata or Level.Travel services. They are reliable online travel retailers with low prices. I only buy tours there. And best of all, read my advice: how to buy tours cheaper so as not to overpay travel agents.

By train

In 2021, Crimea can be reached by train. In ancient times, we heroically made this journey a hundred times more difficult: we traveled for several days in stuffy old wagons to Krasnodar, there we changed to a bus, then there was a ferry crossing, then again a bus trip to the resort. That was hell! Especially when there was a storm in the strait and thousands of people and I stood in a terrible queue for the ferry. I hope you did not go to Crimea then and did not survive all these horrors.

Now everything is easy and convenient. A double-decker train "Tavria" runs from Moscow to Simferopol every day. There are also options with a transfer in Krasnodar, but this is really inconvenient. On the way, a direct train spends a little more than a day, and tickets are quite inexpensive (price one way):

  • from 3300 ₽ - top shelf in a compartment,
  • from 3600 ₽ - reserved seat,
  • from 5000 ₽ - lower shelf in a compartment.

Comrades, choose your train and carriage carefully! Believe me, this is very important, I have traveled many times and I know what I am saying. Trains are of two types: hellish old trains and new ones. If you get into an old carriage, then the trip will turn into a real test: stuffiness in the carriages, overcrowding, screaming children, lack of shower, smells of instant noodles and sweaty socks. However, if you are a thrill-seeker, then go for it. And I advise the rest to choose only new cars with air conditioning and dry closets. If there are no new cars, fly to Crimea by plane.

Alternative way: to get to Crimea with a single ticket. Read our instructions on the link. The essence of this option is that you get to Krasnodar or Anapa by train, and then you are transferred to a bus to the Crimean resorts. Now this process is debugged, there is a bridge, and inconvenience and time costs are minimized.

By car

If you are going in Crimea not only to seal on the beach, but also to see beautiful places, then definitely come by car. It is very cool! You can visit any sights without any buses and excursions. I went to Crimea by car with friends, drove them all over the peninsula in three weeks, showed the coolest places - everyone was delighted. We drove from Perm for three days - it's fine for me, every year we go on such auto expeditions to different parts of our country.

From Moscow and the region, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Sochi, Volgograd, Samara and many cities of the European part of Russia, you can get to Crimea in just one or two days. If you are traveling on vacation with your family or company, then you will spend less on gas than on any even the cheapest plane or train tickets. In Crimea, gasoline costs a couple of rubles more, but there you won't have such large mileage to worry about. Many travel to the Crimea and from the Urals, some even from Western Siberia.

Conclusions

So what's the best way to get to Crimea in 2021?

If earlier it was normally possible to get there only by plane, now we have many convenient options. There is a comfortable direct train, there is a road bridge for traveling by car, there are inexpensive direct flights from many cities.

From Moscow and St. Petersburg, the cheapest and easiest way to get to Crimea is by plane. In other cases, it all depends on what city you live in: it is better to fly from Siberia and the Urals by plane, from cities in the European part of the country it is more convenient to travel by train, with a single ticket or by car.

By the way, a car in Crimea is generally very useful and allows you to save money. For example, you can rent a house far from the beach, drive there by car, and so save thousands of rubles. And you can also go by car to secluded suburban beaches, where there are no crowds of people. Well, to save on excursions, especially since we have already drawn up an interesting travel itinerary in Crimea. In general, I recommend thinking about such a trip, even if you need to cut to the sea for two or three days. You will win back your time costs through complete freedom and savings.

If you don't have your own car or don't want to go so far, then rent a car in Crimea on the convenient service Myrentacar.com. Cost - from 1000 rubles per day.
